Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) alumnus Mohammad Adnan, who has been working with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) since 2008, played a key role in the historical Mission Chandrayan- 3 of the space agency. Adnan is currently working as Scientist ‘F’ at ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC).
15 Years with ISRO and Key Roles in Chandrayaan-2 and Mission Mars
Adnan is associated with ISRO for the last 15 years and was also a part of the team of Chandrayan-2 and Mission Mars (MOM). Belonging to Darbhanga , Bihar, Adnan completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science in the year 2007 and Diploma in Computer Science Engineering in the year 2003 from JMI.

Elated over the development, JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar (Padma Shri) said “I am happy to know that our students are doing so well in this field. This has added to our joy. I congratulate Adnan for the important role he has played in the mission. This will definitely motivate our students to work hard to contribute in nation building”. It is worth mentioning that three more alumni of the university namely Amit Kumar Bhardwaj, Mohd. Kashif and Areeb Ahmad were also part of the historical Chandrayaan-3 of the ISRO.
