The G20 summit will take place in the capital city from 9th September to 10th September 2023. Due to the event, schools and colleges will have an off for students and teachers from 8th September to 10th September. G20 Summit 2023: What is it?
The G20 summit is organized each year to tackle economic issues of the world, where delegates from 19 different countries and the European Union will be participating. India is hosting the G20 summit this year and many participants will be arriving a day before the event, which will be held in Pragati Maidan. Moreover, sightseeing will also be organised for all the participants and their spouses.
G20 Summit 2023: Cancellation of classes and exams
The state government has issued leave for schools and colleges from 8th to 10th September to avoid traffic and blockage in the area where the delegates will be moving. Along with this, many important examinations have also been postponed, including the NEET SS exam, which was initially supposed to be held on the 9th and 10th of September will be changed. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences stated, “In wake of the 18th G20 Summit scheduled to be held on 9th and 10th September 2023 in India and consequent travel restrictions which shall now be in place in Delhi from 8th September 2023 to 10th September 2023, the conduct of NEET-SS 2023, which was announced to be held on 9th and 10th September 2023 across the country, has been deferred,” The candidates can download their admit cards on 4th September.
