The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have recently clarified that no recruitment process for Sub Inspector (SI) and Constable vacancies in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has been announced for the year 2024. This clarification comes in response to a fake notice circulating on social media platforms, claiming the opposite. Here’s what you need to know about this issue:
Fake Notice Alert
A misleading notice purportedly issued by the Railway Ministry regarding the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors and Constables in the Railway Protection Force has been making rounds on various social media platforms. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check has confirmed the falsity of this notice. It’s crucial for government job aspirants to be vigilant and cautious of such misinformation circulating online.
No Official Notification from Railway Ministry
Contrary to the fake notice’s claims of 4660 vacancies in the RPF, comprising 452 Sub Inspectors and 4208 Constables, the Railway Ministry has not issued any such notification. As per the official statement by PIB, the dates for application submission, purportedly from April 15 to May 14, are also inaccurate. Therefore, candidates are advised not to be misled by false information and refrain from sharing personal or financial details based on such unverified notices.
Verification Through Official Channels
Aspiring candidates for government jobs, particularly in the Indian Railways, should rely solely on information provided by official sources. With 21 recruitment boards across the country, including Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, and others, aspirants should verify any recruitment-related information through the official websites of the respective boards. This ensures that they stay updated with authentic announcements and avoid falling prey to misleading information.
