Lucknow: According to the latest Performance Grade Index-District (PGI-D) 2019-20 report, Mathura and Auraiya districts in Uttar Pradesh have the best school education performance, both receiving the grade “Ati-uttam” (scores between 71 and 80 percent).
Mathura had a score of 426 while Auraiya received a score of 423 out of a possible 600.
The third-best grade, ati-uttam, is given to districts with scores between 71 and 80 percent. Only three of the 733 districts graded across the nation that qualified for the Utkarsh category and none for the top category, Daksh, were graded.
The PGI-D scores are the sum of the scores for each district’s performance in each of the following six areas of educational attainment: learning outcomes, effective classroom interactions, infrastructure facilities and student entitlements, school safety and child protection, digital learning, and governance process.
