According to the notification issued by the UGC on June 30 for the direct recruitment of Assistant Professor, the candidates for applying for the posts of Assistant Professor for various subjects have to pass the National Eligibility Test (NET) or in the case of recruitment in universities and degree colleges of various states. UGC has changed the rules issued earlier regarding the recruitment of assistant professors in universities and degree colleges.
