Namami Gange Mission is a vital initiative for the rejuvenation and conservation of River Ganga. It was a pleasure to participated in the national conference on “River Rejuvenation & Water Management: Universities Connect” organized by the Namami Gange Mission team. The conference focused on the theme of Igniting Young Minds and Rejuvenating Rivers. Addressing the gathering the Chancellor of the University Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra emphasized the significance of the Ganga River on both spiritual and economic fronts, and its impact on a large population.
Shobhit University committed to take part in rejuvenation of Ganga
During the conference, Shobhit University signed a MOU with the National Mission for Clean Ganga, in the presence of Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Jal Shakti, Govt of India, Shri G Asok Kumar, IAS, Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt of India, Dr T G Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and other stakeholders, including colleagues from academia.
We are committed to playing our part in the conservation and rejuvenation of River Ganga, which not only holds spiritual significance but also has a significant impact on the livelihoods of millions of people!
