Teaching Vacancies in Government Schools
The Ministry of Education revealed a pressing concern – over 8.4 lakh teaching vacancies in government schools at both elementary and secondary levels across India. With 7.2 lakh positions at the primary level and 1.2 lakh at the secondary level, addressing these vacancies became a focal point for the education sector.
CBSE’s Expansion to the UAE
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced a groundbreaking move as CBSE plans to establish an office in the UAE. Strengthening the strategic partnership between the UAE and India, this development aims to cater to the growing number of CBSE schools in the region, fostering educational ties between the two nations.
Revamped Board Exam System
A significant shift occurred in the board examination system as per the Ministry of Education’s new curriculum framework. Rise of Home-Based Education
A revelation from the Union Education Ministry highlighted a growing trend in home-based education, with 72,186 students opting for this alternative. Tamil Nadu leads with 11,400 students, emphasizing the need for flexible education options, particularly for children with disabilities or those whose parents opt for home-based learning.
Expansion of Sainik Schools
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved the establishment of 23 new Sainik schools to provide quality education and enhance career opportunities, particularly in the Armed Forces. This initiative, in partnership with NGOs, private schools, and state governments, aims to instill discipline and leadership skills in students.
