Ghaziabad News: In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s upcoming visit to inaugurate India’s first RapidX train project, which has been renamed “Namo Bharat,” schools in Ghaziabad will be closed on October 20. The local administration has directed the schools to conduct online classes for the day. This decision has been made to ensure that students do not experience any academic disruptions during the special event. Students and parents are advised to contact their respective schools for confirmation on the online classes, which will be communicated through the schools’ internal communication channels.
Schedule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s activities during his visit
- The Prime Minister is set to arrive in Ghaziabad on Friday morning at 10:00 AM at Hindan Airport.
- Between 11:15 AM and 11:50 AM, he will inaugurate the first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor at Sahibabad station.
- From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Prime Minister Modi will address a public gathering at Avas Vikas Maidan.
Ghaziabad traffic advisory for PM Modi’s visit
To facilitate the Prime Minister’s visit, the district administration has issued a traffic advisory. Vehicles heading to Sahibabad’s Namo Bharat Station and the public gathering site at Vasundhara will need to take alternative routes. Vehicle entry from Mohan Nagar to Sahibabad and from Kaushambi to Sahibabad will be restricted from 7 AM on Friday and will continue throughout the program.

Additionally, Ghaziabad’s Member of Parliament, General V.K. Singh, has released a video appeal urging as many people as possible to attend the Prime Minister’s public gathering. The event is of significant importance as it marks the inauguration of the Rapid Transit System. General V.K. Singh’s appeal aims to boost attendance at this momentous occasion.
