The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has refuted rumors circulating on social media regarding the postponement of the 2024 board exams. Amid ongoing farmer protests, the CBSE clarified that no such decision has been made.
Clarification Against Fake Circular
A fake circular had falsely claimed that the CBSE board exams for 2024 were postponed due to the ongoing farmer protests. However, the CBSE swiftly issued a clarification, emphasizing that the circulated circular was misleading and untrue.
CBSE’s Official Statement
In an official post on X, the CBSE warned the public about the fake notice and reiterated that no decision has been taken to postpone the board exams. Students and parents were urged to disregard the misinformation and rely only on official announcements from the board.
Impact of Farmer Protests
While the exams remain unaffected, the CBSE acknowledged the challenges faced by students in attending exams amid the farmer protests. In Delhi, where the protests are prominent, students were advised to plan their commute carefully, utilize Metro services, and arrive at the exam centers by 10 am to mitigate any transport-related difficulties.
Exam Schedule
The CBSE commenced the board exams for Classes 10 and 12 from February 15 onwards as per the previously announced schedule. There have been no changes to the exam dates, and students are expected to adhere to the original timetable.
