Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra appointed as Chairman of ASSOCHAM National Education Council

Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra: India’s oldest and most prominent trade and industry chamber, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), has reappointed Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, the Chancellor of Shobhit University, as the Chairman of the ASSOCHAM National Education Council. The National Education Council’s role is to deliberate on educational issues and make recommendations to the government. The council has made significant contributions in development-related fields and has advised the central and state governments in implementing education policies. ASSOCHAM National Education Council collaborates in various sectors for research and development and supports emerging trends in the education sector.

As Chairman, Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra will represent ASSOCHAM in high-level meetings with politicians, senior government officials, policymakers, and regulators, discussing educational issues and new trends, and helping to define actionable roadmaps. ASSOCHAM Secretary-General Deepak Sood praised Shri Vijendra’s leadership skills and insight in his letter, expressing hope that under his guidance, the National Education Council will effectively support the government’s efforts in implementing education policies this year as well. In addition, it will contribute to strengthening India’s position as a global knowledge hub and play a vital role as a bridge between educational institutions and industry.

The council will focus on strengthening India’s education system

Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra stated that the ASSOCHAM National Education Council also works to promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the development of the education system. The council will focus on strengthening India’s education system, aligning it with global education standards, and providing high-quality education and job opportunities for Indian youth and professionals. In addition to supporting the implementation of the new education policy, the council will also facilitate networking and partnerships among educational institutions across the country. In this process, it will ensure deep industry connections in the fields of education and skill development, providing students with suitable employment opportunities
