The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the final answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024, session 1, on February 12. Candidates who appeared for the January session can now access the answer key on the official JEE website at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Here are the crucial details and updates for aspirants.
Dropped Questions Impact
The NTA has excluded six questions from the final answer key, comprising three in Mathematics and three in Physics. This decision could potentially result in additional marks for candidates. According to the NTA information brochure, full marks will be awarded for dropped Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to all candidates, regardless of attempted or unattempted status.
Numerical Value Questions
For numerical value questions, if a question is deemed incorrect or dropped, candidates who attempted it will receive four marks (+4). This compensation is applicable due to either human error or technical glitches.
Physics Question Anomaly
An anomaly was identified in a Physics question from the January 30 (first shift) exam with the question ID 533543864, having two answers: 5335432831 and 5335432832. In such cases, only candidates who marked any of the correct options will be awarded four marks (+4).
