The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 506 vacancies for Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). If you’re eligible and interested, here’s a simple guide on how to apply for UPSC CAPF 2024.

- Border Security Force (BSF): 186 vacancies
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 vacancies
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 vacancies
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 vacancies
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 20 and 25 years old as of August 1, 2024.
- Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is required.
Application Process
For Fresh Candidates:
- One-Time Registration (OTR): Complete the OTR process on upsconline.nic.in.
- Online Application: Once the OTR is completed, proceed to fill out the application form on the same website.
For Existing Candidates:
- No Need for Re-registration: Candidates who have completed the OTR for a previous UPSC CAPF edition or any other commission-conducted exam don’t need to register again.
- Application Submission: Simply provide your registration details and fill out the application form.
Fee Structure
- Application Fee: ₹200
- Exemptions: Female, SC, and ST category candidates are exempted from paying the exam fee.
Important Note
- Non-Indian citizens can be appointed or employed only after written consent from the Central government.
