Dharmendra Pradhan: 15,000 model schools are going to open in the country soon. Under the PM Shree School Scheme, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to open model schools in every block of the country. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that this decision has been taken to increase the quality of education. Under this, Odisha is going to get more than 500 such schools.
Odisha will soon have five more Kendriya Vidyalayas. A new KV is going to be inaugurated in IIT Bhubaneswar campus. He further said that any state government school, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Eklavya Vidyalaya or Navodaya Vidyalaya can be converted into a model school. The schools will be established under the direct supervision of the Modi government to provide quality education to the students of Odisha.
3 lakh crore rupees will be spent in the scheme
IIT Bhubaneswar Kendriya Vidyalaya will be ranked as the 66th Kendriya Vidyalaya in the state. Under the Samagrika Siksha Yojana, Rs 3 lakh crore will be spent on the education scheme in the next four years and the Government of India will take steps to improve the quality of education in the country including Odisha. The students of these schools will be given special education by the government.
At present KV will open for one to five
As of now, KVs in IITs will run from a temporary building and students of classes I to V will get admission. Children of IIT professors, assistant professors and employees, besides children of state and central government employees and local residents will get an opportunity to study.
