The Karnataka Private Post-Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has officially announced the registration process for the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2023, offering a significant opportunity for MBA and MCA aspirants. Here’s a breakdown of the crucial information you need to know.
Registration and Important Dates
The registration process for KMAT 2023 will commence on October 25, 2023. It’s imperative for interested candidates to mark this date on their calendars. Additionally, mock tests will be conducted on November 1 and 2, 2023, allowing aspirants to gauge their preparedness. To ensure a smooth experience, the admit cards will be available for download on November 3, 2023. The main examination, KMAT 2023, is scheduled for November 5, 2023.
KMAT 2023 Exam Structure
KMAT 2023 features a well-structured examination format. It consists of a total of 120 Multiple Choice Questions divided into three distinct sections. These sections encompass:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Logical and Abstract Reasoning
- Quantitative Ability
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for admission into MBA/PGDM and MCA programs through KMAT 2023, candidates must meet specific criteria tailored to each program.
- For MBA/PGDM: Aspirants should hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of 3 years or possess a master’s degree in disciplines such as Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/Technology, or their equivalents. A minimum aggregate score of 50 percent (with a relaxation to 45 percent for SC/ST candidates) is required. Notably, candidates in the final year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
- For MCA: Eligible candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks. Furthermore, they should have completed studies in Mathematics at either the 10+2 stage or the undergraduate level.
It’s worth noting that KMAT 2023 scores hold value beyond the examination itself. Over 182 AICTE-approved and UGC-affiliated institutes in Bangalore and the rest of Karnataka will consider these scores for admissions into their MBA, PGDM, and MCA programs in 2023.
