CUET UG 2023: The Common University Entrance Test will be held in three shifts this year. The flaws like last year should not come to the fore and the examination could be conducted smoothly. Major steps have been taken for this. This time this exam will be conducted in 3 shifts instead of 2. Apart from this, other preparations have also been made. This information has been given by UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar. He has said that this time the CUET UG exam to be conducted for admission to undergraduate courses will be conducted in three shifts instead of two.
The Chairman said that the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Testing Agency (NTA) are geared up to ensure that the second edition of CUET-UG is conducted without any glitches. He said, ‘I agree that last time there were many irregularities during the examination, but this year all the problems have been removed. The UGC Chairman said that, “Plan B as additional computers and additional centers have been arranged so that candidates can be shifted there in case of any disturbance and the exam will not be canceled for any particular shift.”
On merger of CUET with JEE and NEET, UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar said, it definitely can be possible. At present no decision has been taken on this. It is being worked on. At the same time, whenever it will be merged, it will be announced at least two years in advance.
So far more than 11 lakh students have registered
The UGC chairman further informed that till date more than 11.5 lakh registrations have been done and the registration will end on 30th March. UGC is expecting that the applications will surpass last year’s numbers.
