NEET 2022: Students have submitted a 19-page memorandum to the education ministry outlining their concerns with the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 timetable as well as their main demands. According to the document, there are only 100 days to prepare because the notification for the medical entry was given on April 6. Students are informed every year at least five months before to the exam. Students now experience “stress and anxiety” as a result of this.
Many students are still calling for the medical entrance exam to be delayed despite the fact that there are only eight days remaining until the exams. The majority of NEET 2022 candidates have requested a 40–60 day exam deferral. NEET was performed on September 12 of the previous year. Students claim that as a result, they had less than 10 months to get ready for NEET-UG 2022.
Some even asserted that because the CBSE 12th board exams ended in the middle of June, they were unable to adequately study for the NEET. The memorandum further stated that because NEET 2021 counselling ended late, those who did not pass had limited time to get ready for the subsequent exam.
Students have pleaded with NTA to postpone the exam because they need more time for study. Many students have also drawn attention to how the NEET 2022 exam date conflicts with that of other entrance tests, such as the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is slated to take place from July 15 to August 10.
Aspirants for the NEET have posted on social media, notably Twitter, to express their dissatisfaction. Students have used hashtags to draw attention to their complaints even though NTA has not yet changed the entrance exam dates. The hashtag “PMO Help NEET UG Aspirants” recently became popular on Twitter, replacing the earlier trending hashtag “JUSTICE for NEET UG.”
NTA had stated that it had heard from students requesting a postponement of NEET 2022; nevertheless, in response to an RTI inquiry, the testing organisation made it plain that the entry dates remained the same. On the NTA’s official website, the admit cards for the entrance exam will shortly be made available. Candidates will be able to access their individual login information on the website to download their hall tickets.
