UGC NET December 2023: The University Grants Commission and the National Testing Agency conduct the NET exam every year for over 80 subjects in various domains. This is usually conducted twice a year, once in June and once in December. This test is taken by individuals across the country for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship. Moreover, the test is highly competitive with only about 6% of students qualified each year. As NTA Preps for the December session of the UGC NET Exam, the registration date is likely to be out soon. Interested candidates must be on the lookout for their official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
UGC NET December 2023: Eligibility
Not everyone is eligible to apply for the NET exam. The applicant must hold a master’s degree in the subject applied by them. Moreover, the applicants must have scored 55% or more in their Master’s finals. Only the applications of the candidates who hold the official university Marksheet will be accepted. The applicants who hold a PhD will be given a weightage of 5%, due to their qualification. Apart from this, only individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 can apply. For SC/ST, the age limit is 18-35 Years, for OBC, 18-35 Years and for PwD, there is no age limit.
UGC NET December 2023: Registration
The registration date is not out yet, therefore, interested candidates can find the updates on their official website. Once the registration goes live, the candidate can fill out the application form by going to the website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The registration process is to be completed before the last date. Once the registration is over, admit cards will be released, as the exam date nears. As per the notifications, the registration is likely to begin in the first week of September. Once the registration is completed, the candidate can start preparing for the exam.
