UPSC Exam Preparation Tips: UPSC Prelims 2022 Civil Services and Indian Forest Service Exam will be conducted on 5th June 2022 by the Union Public Service Commission. Around 10 lakh candidates will appear for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. The first step to become an IAS officer is to clear the UPSC preliminary exam. Current Affairs is an important part of UPSC Civil Services Exam. It takes aspirants years to cover UPSC Civil Services Exam Syllabus. Aspirants preparing for UPSC usually develop the habit of reading newspapers regularly. Notes should be made regularly on the information found in the newspaper and these handwritten notes should be revised subject wise. The information found in monthly news magazines should be prepared in the form of notes. Aspirants preparing for UPSC must focus on the important points given below to be fully aware of current affairs.

Revise current affairs –

Keep studying current affairs regularly. Be it your handwritten notes from newspapers or monthly magazines, it will help you to revise your knowledge about the events of the previous year. Students should mainly cover the current affairs of the previous year. News from October 2021 should focus more on events and topics.

Read the question carefully –

Another interesting and effective way to memorize current affairs is to solve questions on regularly. Candidates can assess their performance and their retention by solving questions multiple times.

Identify resources –

There is a lot of reading material available for current affairs. Aspirants must identify the important resources in UPSC preparation. Study the comprehensive news analysis available on many education websites. Take help of free crash course lectures available in both English and Hindi on good YouTube channels.

Time management –

While preparing for UPSC exam, time is the most precious resource as a lot of topics need to be covered and there is not enough time to cover it all. So the candidates must ensure that he/she should not spend more than one hour reading the daily newspaper.
