Police Sub-Inspector: The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has canceled the examination held on 27 March 2022 for the post of Sub Inspector (Police) at various places in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The reason for the cancellation of the objective type written examination is question paper has been leaked.
Know What Notification Says
The notification reads, “The matter was considered in the Board in the 206th meeting held on 22nd July 2022. Therefore, now, in view of the above, OMR based Objective Type Written Examination for the post of Sub Inspector (Police), Home Department, advertised dated 21.10.2021 vide notification no. 06, under item no. 668, Result/Score Held on 27.03.2022, With Sheet, No. SSB/Secretary/SI(P)/2022/4687-4701 dated 04-06-2022 is canceled.”
The board had conducted the OMR-based examination in March at 322 examination centers in 16 districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Around 97,793 (85.95%) candidates appeared in the exam. JKSSB SI Result was declared on 04 June 2022. The Board had invited online applications for filling up a total of 1200 posts for Sub-Inspector in J&K Police, UT Cadre from 10 November to 10 December 2021.
A total of 1,13,861 candidates were registered under this process.
After the declaration of result and score sheet, some newspapers and online news portals published reports of alleged irregularities and leak of question papers.
JKSSB canceled the examination and an inquiry committee was constituted by the General Administration Department to probe the alleged irregularities in the result and written examination.
