Delhi University has officially released the comprehensive schedule for the upcoming undergraduate admission rounds under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for the 2024-25 academic year. This schedule includes critical dates for upgrade options, mid-entry opportunities, and the third round of seat allocations.
Upgrade Window and Process
Candidates who have secured seats in Round I or Round II can take advantage of the upgrade window, which will be open from 5 pm on August 31 to 4:59 pm on September 1, 2024. During this time, students can opt to upgrade to a higher-preference programme and college combination by reordering their choices. Successful upgrades require the payment of any additional fees, and the admission will only be confirmed upon the completion of the payment.
Key Dates for Seat Allocation Results
On September 3, 2024, at 5 pm, Delhi University will announce the upgraded seat allocations and the Round-I results for performance-based programmes, including CW (Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel), ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities), Sports, and Ward Quota categories. Candidates must accept their allocated seats by 4:59 pm on September 4, 2024. Following this, colleges will verify and approve applications until 4:59 pm on September 5, 2024. The final deadline for fee payment for these admissions is 4:59 pm on September 6, 2024.
Mid-Entry Opportunity for Late Applicants
For students who missed the earlier phases of the CSAS (UG) 2024, a mid-entry window will be available from 5 pm on September 7 to 4:59 pm on September 9, 2024. A non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000 is required to apply during this period. Candidates who were previously rejected due to incorrect subject mapping or failure to meet eligibility criteria can use this opportunity to rectify those issues.
Third Round of Seat Allocation
The third round of seat allocation for Delhi University UG admissions will be announced at 5 pm on September 11, 2024. Candidates must accept their seats by 4:59 pm on September 13, 2024. Colleges will complete the verification and approval of applications by 4:59 pm on September 14, 2024. The last date to make fee payments for third-round admissions is 4:59 pm on September 15, 2024.
Delhi University will also release the list of vacant seats at 5 pm on September 7, 2024. This allows candidates to review available options before finalizing their preferences.
