With an ambitious goal of hosting over 30,000 Indian students by 2030, the focus is on overcoming language barriers and simplifying the journey for aspiring scholars.

President Macron emphasized the introduction of international classes in French universities tailored for non-French-speaking students. To address language barriers at an early stage, efforts will be made to incorporate French language courses in Indian public schools.
Enhancing Learning Opportunities
Acknowledging the importance of learning French, the ‘French for All, French for a Better Future’ initiative aims to create accessible pathways for students through public schools. The expansion of Alliance Française centers, designed for learning French, will further support this initiative.
Breaking Down Language Hurdles
France, a popular destination for global students, has 35 universities listed in the QS ranking and 15 in the Times Higher Education ranking. The language barrier has been a significant obstacle for international students, despite the country’s allure due to high-quality education at affordable tuition fees.
Streamlining Visa Processes
President Macron assured a simplified visa process for Indian students who have previously studied in France, fostering smoother transitions for academic pursuits.
In an official statement, President Macron highlighted, “We are launching new pathways for learning French in public schools and establishing international classes, ensuring students, irrespective of language proficiency, can seamlessly join our universities. Additionally, we are committed to facilitating the visa process for former Indian students who choose France for their education.”
Concluding on a collaborative note, President Macron expressed optimism about the future partnership between India and France, particularly emphasizing the role of the youth in fostering exchange, cooperation, trust, and friendship.
