The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK), and the Indian Navy have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Naval Headquarters. Rear Admiral K Srinivas, Asst. Chief of Materiel (Dockyard & Refits), and Prof. S. Ganesh, Director of IIT Kanpur, inked the MoU, outlining a comprehensive framework. The agreement focuses on capacity building, addressing field-level challenges, and enhancing training effectiveness through faculty and guest lecture exchanges.
Centered on R&D Excellence
The collaboration is poised to leverage the expertise of the Centre of Excellence (Marine Engg.) at INS Shivaji, Lonavla, and IIT Kanpur in joint R&D initiatives. The synergy aims to deliver impactful solutions and contribute to the nation’s defense capabilities.
