In a significant move towards providing quality education and support to disadvantaged children, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. These residential schools, built at a cost of approximately Rs 1,115 crore, aim to offer a bright future for children of labourers, construction workers, and those orphaned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Empowering Needy Children through Quality Education
The Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas, each designed to accommodate 1,000 students, emphasize the importance of access to quality education for a holistic development of the children. Situated on spacious 10-15 acre properties, these schools are equipped with modern classrooms, playgrounds, recreational areas, mini auditoriums, hostel complexes, mess facilities, and residential quarters for staff members.
Prioritizing Holistic Growth and Learning
Prime Minister Modi, before dedicating these schools to the nation, engaged in interactions with the young students. This initiative represents a crucial step towards creating a nurturing environment where needy children can flourish academically and personally. The focus remains on fostering a sense of holistic development and providing opportunities for a brighter future.
