Chandrayaan 3: The University Grants Commission (UGC) is set to host an expansive town hall event, blending both physical and virtual elements, to commemorate the remarkable achievement of Chandrayaan 3. The UGC has officially announced this event, which will connect approximately 200 higher educational institutions (HEIs) across the nation. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will headline the event as the keynote speaker.
Distinguished Scientists to Share Insight
In addition to his address, distinguished scientists from ISRO will conduct a presentation, followed by an interactive session with students where they will respond to inquiries. The official announcement from the UGC states, “To celebrate this momentous accomplishment, we are organizing a Mega Town Hall in a hybrid format, linking around 200 HEIs. The Honorable Prime Minister will deliver the town hall address.”

Furthermore, the UGC is encouraging higher education institutions to engage in various activities, including staging short skits and film sketches centered around themes such as ‘India on the Moon,’ ‘Lunar Journey of New India,’ and ‘Self-Reliant India’s Chandrayaan.’ Additionally, institutions are encouraged to create social media content using hashtags like ‘New Flight of New India,’ ‘Colors on the Moon,’ and ‘New India on the Moon.’
This event promises to be a remarkable celebration of India’s achievements in space exploration, uniting the nation’s educational institutions and fostering creativity and enthusiasm among students.
