Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Eliminates Tables from Accountancy Answer Books and Extends Registration Deadline
In a significant update for students and schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the board has made crucial changes to the Accountancy answer books for the 2023-24 board exams. This decision was communicated to school principals through an official notification.
Elimination of Tables in Accountancy Answer Books
Starting from the Board Examination in 2024, CBSE will no longer provide answer books with tables in the subject of Accountancy. Based on feedback received from stakeholders, the Board has decided to replace these specialized answer books with normal lined answer books, similar to those used in other Class 12 subjects.
This change aims to standardize the answer book format across subjects and is set to take effect from the 2023-24 board exams. It will impact the way students approach and present their answers in the Accountancy paper.
Extension of Registration Deadline for Class 9 and Class 11 Students
In addition to the changes in the answer book format, CBSE has also extended the deadline for schools to submit registration data for Class 9 and Class 11 students appearing in the 2023-24 board exams. The original deadline has been pushed back, and schools can now submit registration data without incurring a late fee until October 25.
This extension comes in response to various representations from schools and aims to provide schools with additional time to complete the registration process for their students.
