Amit Shah: The Minister of Home Affairs of India, Amit Shah, recently took to X to celebrate teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day. On this auspicious day, the Home Affairs minister expressed his appreciation for the teachers for their role in society building and the nation’s development through a heartfelt post on X. Moreover, he also remembered the former president, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is marked, as Teachers Day in India. In the post, he said, “On Teachers’ Day, the nation salutes the entire teaching community for their exemplary role in building an educated & civilized society. I offer my tributes to the great philosopher, teacher and statesman, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose Jayanti is celebrated as Teachers’ Day.”
National Award to Teachers 2023
On the event of Teachers Day, 75 teachers will be awarded the prestigious National Award to Teachers at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The National Award will be awarded to 50 school teachers, 13 professors, and 12 teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, honouring their immeasurable contribution to the realm of education for their respective institutions and beyond. Before the ceremony, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi interacted with the recipients on a pre-ceremony event, congratulating them on their contributions to the nation. At the event, the recipients will receive a silver medal of honour along with a cash prize of Rs 50000 and a certificate of merit.

After the meeting with the PM, Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation of the 75 educators by saying, “Met our nation’s exemplary educators who have been honoured with the National Teachers’ Awards. Their dedication to shaping young minds and their unwavering commitment to excellence in education is very inspiring. In their classrooms, they are scripting a brighter future for India’s youth,”
