Moradabad, UP: All schools and other educational institutions in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, will be closed on July 25 2022 and July 26 2022 due to the Kanwar Yatra that would take place in Sawan (Shrawan).
According to the officials, no schools will be open on July 25 or July 26 since pilgrims would be on the streets travelling to the temple to give prayers, and closing schools will help reduce traffic.

Institutions have been granted a day off in order to prevent any crowds or commotion on the streets while pilgrims are delivering their prayers at temples.
Due to the Kanwar Yatra, even schools in Haridwar and Meerut have been shuttered. The schools in Meerut and Haridwar will also be closed from July 27 to July 26, respectively. Schools have been closed so that pupils won’t have any trouble getting about and possibly cause a traffic snarl.
The Covid-19 outbreak prevented the Kanwar Yatra, which is held annually in Hardiwar, Gaumukh, and other places, from taking place the past two years.
