Schools to open in Kerala from June 1 Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the reopening festival at Government Higher Secondary School in Kazhakkuttam at 9.30 am. Education Minister V Shivankutty said that everything was set for reopening of the school and proper instructions were given to the school authorities regarding the detailed arrangements to be made to reopen the school after a gap of two years.
The minister said that the school authorities should ensure that the students, teachers and non-teaching staff in the schools follow the basic COVID norms. “Masks are necessary for students and others. The authorities should ensure that sanitisers are available in schools,” the minister said. The state government has recently made masks mandatory for people going to public places after lifting the restrictions related to covid.
