Central universities are not unanimous in adopting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) process for admission to Post Graduation (PG) courses for the academic session 2022-23.
While Delhi University (DU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia have decided not to take admission under CUET PG, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced that it will offer this admission in PG course. Admission will be given on the basis of examination only.

According to the brochure of CUET PG, 35 out of total 42 central universities will take admission under this entrance exam.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had said on Thursday that CUET will be conducted for admission to PG courses in central universities. The application process for CUET PG has started on the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) from 19th May and the last date of application is 18th June.
Talking to PTI regarding non-admittance of admission under CUET PG, DU registrar Vikas Gupta said, “The admission process has started and in such a short time the university cannot implement the new system. Academic Council of the university And the Executive Council will take a decision on this matter and based on that we will proceed.”
At the same time, Jamia Registrar Nazim Hussain Al Jafri said that the university will take admission only through the ongoing process.
