The Supreme Court of India (SCI) has rolled out a golden opportunity for aspiring candidates with its latest recruitment drive, announcing 80 Junior Court Attendant positions. Those interested can apply through the official SCI website at sci.gov.in. This online application window opened on August 23, 2024, and will remain active until September 12, 2024.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible candidates must have successfully cleared Class 10 from a government-recognised board or institute. Additionally, applicants need a full-time diploma of at least one year in cooking or culinary arts from a recognised institute. To further qualify, candidates must have three years of cooking experience in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or government department. The age criteria for applicants are between 18 and 27 years.
Selection Procedure
The selection process is divided into three stages: a written test, a practical trade skill test, and a personal interview. Here’s what candidates need to know:
- Written Test: Conducted in both English and Hindi, this 90-minute test carries a total of 100 marks.
- Practical Trade Skill Test: This will assess candidates’ cooking skills and is valued at 70 marks.
- Interview: The final interview will carry 30 marks.
The combined score from all three stages will determine the final selection of candidates. The written examination is set to be conducted across 17 centres in 16 states.
Application Fee Details
The application fee for the Junior Court Attendant post is set at Rs 400. However, there is a concessionary fee of Rs 200 for SC/ST, physically challenged candidates, ex-servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, and women who are widowed, divorced, or judicially separated and not remarried. All payments must be made online.
