In a recent announcement, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has disclosed its pivotal role in conducting the recruitment examination for the position of “Examiner of Patents and Designs” with 553 openings in the Patent Office under the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Three-Phase Recruitment Process Unveiled
The recruitment process unfolds in three distinct phases, designed to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of candidates. The preliminary examination, conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode, kicks off the process. Subsequently, mains paper 1 (CBT) and mains paper 2 (offline exam, descriptive mode for 14 different disciplines) follow suit. The final phase encompasses offline interviews.
Key Dates and Procedures for Preliminary Examination
According to the official notification on nta.ac.in, exam city information slips for the preliminary examination will be released on December 12 or 13. Admit cards will be issued three to four days before the scheduled examination date, which is set for December 21. Following the examination, question papers and answer keys will be released, and candidates can raise objections from December 26 to 27. The eagerly awaited results are anticipated to be declared by the first week of January 2024.
