The CNM School of SVKM in Mumbai and SDMC Primary School Lajpat Nagar III in New Delhi were both named to the top ten shortlist for the World’s Best School Prize for Innovation.

The top 10 schools shortlisted for the honour in the Community Collaboration category are Khoj School in Mumbai and PCMC English Medium School, Bopkhel in Pune.

The school’s diversity, according to Principal Niwas Tiwari, is its strength. The school currently has 583 pupils and 12 regular teachers. Children of different classes, creeds, and castes attend the school, he stated.

According to him, the school administration guarantees that children have access to all facilities and collaborates with parents to deliver the finest education possible.

“We have rickshaw-pullers’ children, daily wagers, and individuals who live in shanties.” We don’t make any distinctions. “Every child is looked after,” Tiwari continued.

Five inspiring Indian schools were named in the top ten shortlists for the inaugural USD 250,000 World’s Best School Prizes, which were founded in the United Kingdom to honour schools around the world for their great contributions to society’s advancement.

SDMC Primary School, Lajpat Nagar-3, has been named to the top ten list in the category ‘World’s Best School Prize for Innovation,’ according to the Municipal Corporation. This institution was founded in 2015. The MCD Commissioner’s objective for this school was realised through the Quality Enhancement Program (SQEP).

There has been a consistent improvement in the education of the pupils here since the implementation of the SQEP programme in the school. This school had 50 students in 2015, but by 2022, that number had risen to 583. It is apparent that there was a substantial increase in the number of students even during the Corona period, when the youngsters were quitting school and sitting at home.
