The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has recently announced a significant reduction in the NEET PG exam fee for 2024. This move aims to benefit numerous medical candidates and ease the financial burden associated with the application process.
Reduced Exam Fee for All Candidates
The NEET PG exam fee has been slashed by Rs 750 for all candidates, providing relief to those preparing for the medical entrance exam. The decision applies to applicants submitting forms on or after January 1, 2024.
Revised Application Fees for General and OBC Categories
In 2013, the application fee for General and OBC categories was Rs. 3,750. By 2021, it had risen to Rs. 4,250. However, as of January 1, 2024, the NBEMS has lowered the fee to Rs. 3,500, benefiting aspiring candidates from these categories.
Reduced Fees for SC, ST, and PWD Candidates
For SC, ST, and PWD candidates, the application fee that was Rs. 2,750 in 2013 increased to Rs. 3,250 in 2021. The recent reduction brings the fee down to Rs. 2,500 as of January 1, 2024, offering financial relief to candidates from these communities.

Aspiring medical professionals can easily submit the revised fee while applying online, utilizing the payment gateway provided. Debit or credit cards from Indian banks can be used for a seamless transaction.
NEET PG Exam Details:
- The NEET PG Exam for 2024 is scheduled for July 7.
- The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode with a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes.
- Admit cards will be available on the official website and sent to registered email IDs and mobile numbers.
