The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the country’s regulator for technical education, issues a stern warning to students regarding deceptive 10-day MBA crash courses. This cautionary notice comes in response to advertisements run by a motivational speaker promoting such programs.

Beware of Deceptive Practices

The AICTE notification strongly emphasizes that these 10-day MBA crash courses, endorsed by motivational speakers and influencers, are attempts to misguide the youth. Students are urged to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of such offerings.

AICTE Clearance is Mandatory

Referring to the Supreme Court’s judgment, the notice reiterates that institutions or universities must obtain AICTE clearance or approval to offer technical courses, including MBA or management courses leading to a PG degree. Any program lacking this approval is in violation of regulatory guidelines.

True Duration of MBA Programs

The AICTE notice underscores that an MBA is a legitimate two-year postgraduate degree program designed to impart advanced skills and knowledge in various business and management domains. The assertion is clear: a genuine MBA, including its management components, cannot be condensed into a mere 10-day crash course.

Caution to Stakeholders

The AICTE concludes the notice by advising all stakeholders and students to exercise caution and avoid falling prey to fraudulent offers of quick-fix MBA courses. The emphasis is on promoting awareness and discouraging individuals and organizations that engage in misleading practices.
