The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) is the only Indian institute to have made it to the top 50 institutes of this year’s Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global Executive MBA Rankings. IIM Bangalore has been ranked 46th in the global list with an overall score of 61.6.
According to media reports, this year Quacquarelli Symonds recorded its highest ranking, with more than 190 events in the overall table and 26 combined events.
IIM Bangalore is followed by the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad (ISB, Hyderabad), which is placed in a group of 111-120 with an overall score of 49.2. Additionally, IIM Kozhikode has scored 28 marks, placing it in the rank of 171+.
This year, ISB Hyderabad’s ranking has dropped by almost 10 ranks, from 92nd last year and 93rd before that. Apart from this, IIM Kozhikode has also slipped by about 20 places in the ranking as compared to last year.
Globally, IESE Business School has been ranked highest with an overall score of 93.5. IESE has become the world’s No. 1 Executive MBA program provider this year and according to QS, 59 percent of their class students are in C-suite positions.
IESE is followed by HEC Paris, Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania), Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania), MIT Sloan School of Management, and Sad Business School (University of Oxford). (University ofOxford) are in that order.
The ranking is based on the following indicators such as employer reputation, diversity, thought leadership, executive profile and career outcome.
In the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, IIM Bangalore ranks 12th in this list and 1st in India with a score of 61.6.
Chicago Booth ranks first in the APAC region, followed by INSEAD, National University of Singapore Business School, Nanyang Business School and CUHK Business School. No Indian university has made it to the top 10 list.
However, IIM Bangalore was ranked 12th with an overall score of 61.6. It is followed by Indian School of Business, Hyderabad at 20th position with an overall score of 49.2. IIM Kozhikode has secured 30th position with a score of 28. However, no other Indian institute has made it to the APAC list this year.
