71 Indian universities make it to the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings

Asia University Rankings 2022: Times Higher Education has released the Asia University Rankings 2022 list. This latest edition includes the names of 616 universities from 31 countries. The names of 71 universities of India are also included in these universities. India is the third-represented country in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2022. Last year only 62 Indian universities made it to this list. At the same time, 71 universities are in the ranking this year. Indian Institute of Science Bangalore topped the top 50 with 42 ranks. Last year IISc had secured 37th rank. After that JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research is at 65th position.

Apart from IISc, the names of three other universities are included in the top 100. These include the Mysore-based JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, which is ranked 65th. IIT Ropar is ranked 68th, followed by IIT Indore at 87th position. All the Indian institutions in the top-100 have come down as compared to last year’s position. Only 4 Indian universities have got a place in the top 100.

174. IIIT Hyderabad (International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad)

177. IIT Delhi (Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi)

197. Punjab University
