All of the new students, distinguished guests, faculty members, and current students attended the programme.
60 women out of the 285 new MBA programme students are female. The average amount of work experience for the class is 30 months, with 146 students having prior employment. Students from a variety of academic fields, including engineering, science, commerce, humanities, management, language, law, dentistry, fashion design, and pharmacy, make up this batch.

This year, nine new PhD scholars, including four females, have been admitted to the institute in the areas of Operations Management, Economics, Finance, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, Strategy, Marketing, and IT.

A group of students with such a wide range of perspectives is always a plus since they add to the debates and activities in the classroom and develop together.
The ritual began on the first day with Vedic chanting and a Bharatnatyam performance of the Ganesh Vandana by the students. It was followed by the lamp being lit. The profiles of the newest batches of students were presented by Dr. Prabhat Ranjan, Chairperson of the Admissions Committee. While Prof. Archana Patro, Chairperson, PGP, introduced the MBA programme and discussed the course curriculum and structure, Prof. Md. Laeequddin, Chairperson, PhD, spoke about the PhD programme.

Numerous distinguished speakers provided the students with educational sessions throughout the orientation. Abhik Chatterjee, MD & Partner, BCG, gave a discussion about the value of teamwork to kick off the first session of the day. “Some people are born leaders, while others seek these traits out,” stated Pratyay Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary for Health in the Bihar government. Some people don’t make it to that class, but they are excellent followers, so if that’s okay with you, great.

The Cultural Committee of IIM Bodh Gaya arranged the exciting cultural event Novicia to cap off the first day. Students from both the old and new groups displayed their skills in dancing, poetry reading, and singing.
Sister B K Shivani, recipient of the prestigious Nari Shakti Puraskar, the highest civilian honour for women in India, and a Goodwill Ambassador for the World Psychiatrist Association, was a guest speaker on the second day of the orientation session. “Meditation allows you to think right about the things that happen in a day and also realigns your mentality for the day ahead,” she said when discussing the value of meditation.
