Beginning August 1, 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Hyderabad will offer a 12-month certificate programme on future wireless communications. At fwc.iith.ac.in, interested candidates can review the programme specifics and submit an application. The application deadline is July 10, 2022.
The eligible students should have a valid diploma/BSc/BTech degree or equivalent from any branch of science/ engineering. Undergraduate engineering students may join the program in the 8th semester after producing a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their institute. Admission will be done through a written test where candidates will be tested on general aptitude & basic mathematics.

The programme will cost Rs 2,45,000 in total. There will be two writing tests in July: July 10 and July 17. Candidates may show up on any of the test dates.
“Selected candidates will be offered a scholarship of Rs 25,000 every month until the programme ends,” said GVV Sharma, the programme coordinator. Up to 50 pre-placement offers and 200 staff posts for the IIT Hyderabad 6G research project will come together with the scholarship.
“It is vital that the richness of knowledge developed in the IITH 5G research programme be shared with as many fresh graduates in the country as possible in the shortest amount of time,” said Prof. B S Murty, Director, IITH, on this occasion. By teaching at least 500 engineers a year, this certificate programme will contribute to addressing the severe labour need in this field.
