Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is welcoming applications from international students for undergraduate programs in the academic year 2024-25. If you’re an international student eyeing a spot at JNU, here’s what you need to know:
Application Process
To apply, visit the official JNU website at jnu.ac.in. There’s a separate application form available for foreign nationals. The form can be downloaded from the website or directly from jnu.ac.in/Admission/International.
Submission Deadline
Make sure to submit your application form by April 26, 2024. Applications received after this date won’t be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
If you’re applying from outside India, you won’t need to take the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET UG 2024). However, if you’re already in India, you’ll need to appear for CUET UG, provided you meet the minimum eligibility requirements similar to Indian students. This includes possessing a valid student or research visa.
How to Apply
Fill out the application form in block letters without any corrections. Illegible forms won’t be accepted. Send the completed form along with all required documents to:

Application Processing Fee
There’s a non-refundable application processing fee of US Dollar $42.00. This fee can be paid through NEFT in the university Account No. 31694564171 or via Bank Draft of US Dollar $42.00 (including GST) or equivalent Indian amount of Rs 3,486 drawn in favor of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” payable at New Delhi. Don’t forget to indicate your name, country, and program details during the payment transaction.
