Parikipandla Narahari or P Narahari, a 2001-batch IAS officer, is an inspiration to millions. His hard work and exemplary achievements have encouraged many to follow the suit. The latest example of his positive influence is Shubhratosh Sharma who has managed to clear the esteemed UPSC Civil Service Examination in his third attempt. Subhratosh, a resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, has deemed P Narahari as his inspiration.
How P Narahari inspired Shubhratosh Sharma in his Civil Services journey
Shubhraotosh Sharma has cleared UPSC CSE 2023 (Rank 358). Shubhratosh first dreamed of becoming an IAS officer when he was in Class 12. His journey to civil services began after his brief meeting with P Narahari who was then DM & Collector of Gwalior. His determination to bring change via education inspired Shubharotosh and he decided to follow in his footsteps.
It wasn’t an easy pursuit for Shubhratosh who cleared the reputed exam in his third attempt. Shubhatosh began preparing for UPSC after completing his B. Tech in 2019. After failing in the interview round last year, he has finally bagged success in UPSC CSE 2023, courtesy of his firm resolution and dedication.

P Narahari was elated with Shubartos’s success story and took to his verified Twitter account to share his best wishes. “Rehmat Teri Aur Mehnat Meri,” he wrote adding, “This success is the result of your hard work,” as he congratulated Shubharotsh. “Safari mein dhoop toh hogi jo chal sako toh chalo, sabhi hain bheed mein tum bhi Nikal sako toh chalo,” he wrote to boast the morale of the newly appointed bureaucrat.
