The Prime Minister stated that Karnataka has made a significant contribution to India’s technological, research, and innovation advancements. “In this backdrop, the new Technology Hubs created by changing ITIs would provide skilling chances for the youth as well as various job prospects,” PM Modi remarked.

The Technology Hubs initiative, which has a budget of over Rs 4,700 crore and is backed by several industrial partners, intends to develop a trained workforce to meet Industry 4.0 personnel requirements. The state government has paid Rs 657 crore towards the entire expenditure, while Tata Technologies Limited (TTL) and its industry partners have contributed Rs 4,080 crore.

The state has also invested an additional Rs 220 crore in these 150 ITIs to construct dedicated workshops and technology labs. These Technology Hubs will provide high-skill training in cutting-edge technology and increase job and entrepreneurship options for ITI graduates through a variety of innovative courses.

Among those present were Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, and other state cabinet ministers.

The residential BASE University was founded in 2017 to honour Ambedkar’s extraordinary contributions to the building of independent India and to pay tribute to his memory on the 125th anniversary of his birth.

BASE University, according to PM Modi, is a testament to Dr. Ambedkar’s intellectual prowess. “Several pupils will profit from this institution’s new campus. Our ‘Yuva Shakti’ will benefit from the new IT hubs that have been inaugurated “Added the Prime Minister.
