Bharat Band: Today, on June 20, 2022 Schools in Karnataka, Jharkhand, Bihar and some other parts have been closed due to both PM Modi’s visit and Agnipath protests related to Bharat Band call. Check complete list of places where schools are shut today.

As per recent updates, schools closed today, on June 20, 2022 orders have been issued for several places like Karnataka, Jharkhand and Bihar. While the reasons for closing schools in these areas are different, the orders have more or less affected both government and private schools. Check complete list below.

Schools in Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Bihar were closed today due to Agnipath demonstrations relating to the Bharat Band movement and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Karnataka. While the orders do not apply to every region of the state, the majority of it has proclaimed a holiday for educational institutions.

Schools closed today in Jharkhand

With Bharat Bandh calls and Agnipath Protest news roaring throughout the country, schools have been closed today – June 20, 2022 in Jharkhand. As per local media reports, officials have also asked all Jharkhand schools to reschedule the ongoing class 9 and 11 exams as schools would remain completely shut on Monday.

According to reports, Jharkhand schools have been closed as a safety and precautionary measure after protests in some areas turned violent. Both public and private schools are affected by the directive.

Schools closed today in parts of Bihar

As per local media reports, Bihar schools, especially in Patna have also been closed today – June 20, 2022. Due to the ongoing Agnipath Recruitment scheme protests and Bharat Bandh called by some organisations, schools in Patna are reportedly closed today. In the view of protests turning violent, some Bihar schools have also reportedly extended the summer vacations so that children are not faced with any untoward incidents in roads.

Karnataka schools closed in some parts

Karnataka schools are closed today owing to PM Modi’s visit, unlike Bihar and Jharkhand. Despite the fact that the orders do not apply to the entire state, numerous schools in Bengaluru have been advised to close today. Furthermore, numerous other Bangalore schools closed on their own as a result of these institutes’ closures, citing traffic and security issues.
