JMI University: Jamia alumnus gets fellowship offers from six American universities

JMI University: Uzma Khan, an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia, has received 100% fellowship offers for PhD funded from six US universities. Uzma has done MSc Electronics from Faculty of Engineering & Technology under Department of Applied Sciences in the year 2021.

Uzma had applied for 100% fellowships in nine US universities. Out of this, he has got offers from six. Uzma’s research area will be Underwater Wireless Communication and Signal Processing. In addition, Uzma has been offered a monthly stipend as well as 100% tuition fee waiver for the on-campus job of research/teaching assistant at these six US universities- Lehigh University, University of Cincinnati, University of Maryland at Baltimore County, SUNY (State University of New York) Buffalo, SUNY Albany and University of New Hampshire.

Uzma has selected Lehigh University out of these six for her PhD. She will go to America for her studies in August 2022. She says ,“I am joining Lehigh University because my educational qualifications and research interest is in complete coherence with my potential supervisor there,”.
